It is with a heavy heart I make this posting...
My wife and I have had Atticus for 7 years now. He is a beautiful white and orange Koi fish - about 14 inches long. We're not necessarily Koi enthusiasts, but we love this guy. He is in great health, with no signs of disease or illness. He has lived alone his whole life. We would love for him to find a home in a public space we can visit, but have been rejected by several public ponds.
Unfortunately last week, the return pipe to his tank broke, and we flooded our apartment (and the one below). With an 18 month old toddler and a second child on the way, it is just too scary to think about this happening again (little hands get in small places).
We are offering Atticus for free. You must pick him up at our apt on the upper east side by this Saturday, 6/25.
We are looking for a fish enthusiast who will love him as we have.

(we also have a 80+ gallon tank - 4ft x 2 ft with bow front, stand, Ehiem Filter 2200 series if you'd like for $400 - but you can't buy the tank with out Atticus or until we give him away)
