I have read the instructions:

How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labeled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

However, the only option below the msg box is "post icons", "Manage attachments" isn't an option. Further down the page is this:
http://forum.brooklynaquariumsociety.org/cb/buttons/collapse_thead.gif (http://forum.brooklynaquariumsociety.org/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=31#top) Posting Rules You may post new threads

Thanking you in advance,

I thought it was a good question. When I get an answer I'll post the pics of the fish I brought to the auction yesterday. We could have had a preview, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

ELCUE/Lisa - it can't be done from a computer file, only from a web site. The webmasters answer is:
you cannot post a photo from a PC.

One can post a photo using URL and this is the way it is done on 99% of a different fora.

A user usually opens an account with any photo sharing website like photobucket or flickr etc, from there you get your URL that you use on multitude of websites.

The alternative is to use the Brooklyn Aquarium Society Facebook page or the Brooklyn Aquarium Society Yahoo Group.
I hope this helps!
