Nope. The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, one of Harryhausen's great old black and white special effects monsters gets killed by irradiation while trampling Luna Park. It appeared a year before Godzilla, and looks similar. He also did the Kraken in Clash of the Titans. It's the 1 month anniversary of his death.
