Anyone have an opinion on this? They're breeding and I don't know what they are.

I'm thinking they are either of these, but I don't know, could be something else...

I don't think i've ever kept them. They look like Mariea from your links , is photo no2 a juvenile? That one the line looks tessalated. The sceptical guy always has something interesting to say:http://www.skepticalaquarist.com/otocinclus. Good luck.:wave:

No juvies. I have them since 10/13, and they've only grown a bit since then. Biggest difference is that they have tail fins now, they were in pretty miserable condition when I bought them. The line and pattern on the back seems to change. The first pic is April, the second is Dec.

I think this is "vittatus" Otos at the species level depends on professional meristic techniques, like accurate counts of scales along the lateral line and symptomatic ratios of one body measurement to another, or symptomatic details of the dentition and the body armor.
