Goldfish
Do goldfish grow back there scales?
|
if they have good water quality. It depends on how they lost them. was it a scrape or from poor water conditions? If they are losing their scale due to poor water quality, the only way they will grow back is if you elimanate the problem.

Do goldfish survive long enough in saltwater to grow back their scales?
|
why would you put goldfish in saltwater, they are a freshwater fish
|
No idea. Topic has been in Saltwater Fish section since January and no one asked about it so...

^^^ LOL

I think it is safe to assume when talking about goldfish they would be in freshwater, unless used for feeders.
Anyone keeping them in trying to keep them in saltwater should not be keeping fish |
Heh, not so far fetched as some people have been developing a product (another one at that) to keep fresh and saltwater fish together. Not that I approve of it but it is out there.
Anyways, on topic, I hope that OP's fish has recovered by now. |
I am not surprised of any advancements in the hobby anymore, if they can tatto fish why not

I actually saw a Science show on TV a number of years back where scientists had so saturated a tank of water with Oxygen, that they were able to keep a mouse swimming and breathing underwater without drowning. I have no idea whether or not this was bogus, I can't verify it however see the link below.
http://www.frca.co.uk/article.aspx?articleid=100112 I feel sorry for the mouse, he doesn't look too happy. |
that was one tough mouse, must have been from the hood.
