lighting for a 29 gallon tank

John,

I would recommend a T-5 lighting fixture that has 2 bulbs. I recommend getting plant light bulbs and have them on 12 hours a day. Try using CO2 as this will help stimulate plant growth. As for the Java fren I would use a thin line, such as fishing line to tie the roots of the fern to a piece of wood.

This should help.
Joe
