Uv sterilizers which one?

Hello,

I have some green water and i am told to get a uv steralizer.
Not sure what to get.

Looking at
Deep blue
Green killing machine

Does anyone have anynsuggestions?

90 gallon fish only salt tank. Set up and running.
Salinity 1.018, ph 8.2' 0 nitrite

Water was a little green, fed less and killed lights and it cleared up, today i got a new fish and I put fish in with water from fish store, water went green within 2 hours.

When runnung uv steralizer, how long do you run each day? Do younrun every day?

Please help

Ross

water went green in 2 hours?

Something is very wrong with this picture. If there was an algal or bacterial bloom it would take much longer than 2 hours. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

It took 2 days and thr water ckeared itself up.

I have no idea what prompted the green attack.

Purchased a UV strralizer and put in today to see if they make your water crystal clear

As stated by so many people.

90 gallon
Fish only.
Ph 8.2
Salinity 1.018

a uv will help but green water is caused from something
you have to find out what cause the problem first.
too much light too much food, too little filtration.

How often do you feed?

a general rule for feeding is if there is food in the tank after 1 minute or 2
you fed too much
I even skip a meal every week or 2
