This would make a Freshwater person consider changing over or adding a tank as a test.

I'm pretty sure I've seen plate corals that were fragged. They are just sliced like pizza.

stevem December 26th, 2013 05:21 PM

plates

i have too, they just not round anymore

xoomer December 26th, 2013 05:22 PM

dont they get round after a while?

stevem December 26th, 2013 05:37 PM

I guess not sure
when i see them for sale they r not

Fishinizer January 5th, 2014 08:49 PM

Well you can frag but it takes many years to get round and not be distorted the natural round comes commonly from budding and as anemones very slim or unlikely chance for a successful propagation when it's done especially cut more than once way to risky for my taste rather wait for them to take care of that themselves

xoomer January 14th, 2014 03:41 PM

i prefer stuff that grows in my tank because its

a) Cheaper, by far
b) I can show it off to Steve and tell him, look that whole rock used to be 2 polyps.

stevem January 14th, 2014 09:56 PM

coral

i am glad you added the non homo part

Fishinizer January 28th, 2014 10:28 AM

Hahah me to lol but for things such as plates the frag isn't worth it small buds are actually considerd more rare they don't do that often.

xoomer January 28th, 2014 12:15 PM

I hear ya.

stevem February 22nd, 2021 11:11 PM

What's new fellas?
