dry fertilizers for aquariums

Does any one have experience with dry fertilizers for aquariums as mention at the sites below:

I was wondering if we can get these ingredients locally at a greenhouse with aquaponic supplies?

No idea about the city's hydroponic stores but some of the stuff can be bought locally at pharmacies and gardening centers if you want to do that.

Thanks, Nymsley. What is the best place in Brooklyn to get those chemicals? I am looking for a chelated iron supplement.

You can get Chelated Iron at most Independent Pharmacies (not chains). if they don't use it, they can order a small amount for you. Amazon.com also sells pure Chelated iron and Chelated Iron concentrates. You can also search the web for Liquid Chelated Iron.

dry fertilizers for aquariums

You might be able to get dry ferts locally at serious gardening/nursing stores, or agricultural places. However, I imagine that anyplace that would have dry ferts that we can use in aquariums probably only carry them in 50lb bags, which is a few lifetimes worth of ferts.

I am still exploring this issue, but I am staying away from anything with copper(Cu) in it as it is quite toxic to inverts, like shrimp
