jave moss for them to hide and eat off of
I used just crushed flakes

Do you still have these shrimp. Mine disappeared... Iron overdose

john fox January 8th, 2013 09:34 PM

Yes I still have the shrimps and they seem to be thriving well I have them with the guppys . Iwas reading that if you want to breed them have them alone otherwise the baby's will get eatin also I don't add anything to these tank ie; iron 👻👻😎👍

Just did a big water change. My tank has grown out well but having a tall tank with so many plants makes it hard to find shrimp in there...

That's good this way if they breed nobody will find them 👻👻bring in some cobomba for me I want to try it in my dirt tank 👀👀

shrimp

they do a good job of hidding
I had a 38 gal I threw a couple in and I never saw more then 2 or 3
when I took the tank down there where about 100.
I kept some in a 5 gal planted tank and they where doing fine multipling and staying in the open
There where no fish in there, I put in a couple of least killies(the smallest livebearer in America iamtold) and they ate everyone in a couple of days
I read after that least killies are very aggressive, why you should research first

I have a 5 gallon planted with 2 bettas in it now but I may try to pair the male up in my larger tank with a crowntail. How long have you had the shrimp live?

I have had the shrimp for several years, before my least killies ate them
