FS: established 20-gallon planted aquarium with fish, all needed equip
I’m selling my 20-gallon (long) planted aquarium with everything needed to re-establish it in your home. The ecosystem has been consistent for about 25 years, based mostly on Southeast-Asian river fish and plants, and is very stable and healthy.
Here’s what’s included -- The aquarium: 20-gallon-long (30” x 12” x 12”) tank, perfect for plants, about 18 months old Two full-spectrum LED lights Glass cover Power filter Ladder aerator for CO2 system Algae-killing UV pump Heater Sand and gravel substrate with some larger rocks and bog-wood Plants including java moss, java fern, and several cryptocorynes Six fish: three barbs, two danios (I think?), and an algae eater Malaysian trumpet snails (good for the substrate) Also included: Wooden stand, painted white Power strip with day and night timed outlets CO2 system using yeast, baking soda, and sugar, with a solenoid valve so CO2 is only added to the tank during the day 5-gallon bucket, hose, filter brush, glass scraper, etc Extra filter material Fish food Vacation feeder Random parts acquired over many years Some books, if you’d like them As much free advice as you need to get the tank set up! To move it, we’ll drain the water down to about half an inch. The plants will be fine -- I’ve moved it this way many times. The fish we can put in a bag for transit -- we’ll hope for the best. You’ll need a car, some sort of cart, and probably an extra set of hands. To set it up, you’ll need a level, some shims, and probably an extra extension cord or two. $200 / offer. I'm in Clinton Hill. Photos available here: https://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/f...702927034.html |
