Keeping File fish

Has anyone kept file fish? Of the several types im wondering how big they get? Mine is a year old and I'm wondering if the diet is the best for him. Shady do you feed yours

I kept one recently. The one that loved to decimate my aiptasia population.

Unfortunately, year later it went carpet surfing.

Oh My Dead Fish

After having this lovely fish for almost a year it just turned up dead and stuck to my powerhead. guess I put the whammy on him. But my coral are opening up much better than they were in months. Go figure. Polyp nipper

Sometimes fish die with no explanation. What can i say is the cause when all other fish are swimming fine. Maybe the diet he took on wasn;t the best nutritional value for the animal. Maybe shift in water parameters did him in. In any case I'm sure he'll be missed.
