Yellow - White Hitchhiker Invert on Live Rock

One of my live rocks has last month given birth to small colony on 1/2 to 1 inch ghostly looking cone shaped polyps. Are they Pineapple Sponges? They appeared after I did a water change last month, are in a fairly well lit area, and there has been no contaqct with other organisms for the tank except live brine shrimp. They are restricted toa single rock, which I've had since October.

I would but I am opposed to the existence of facebook and do not patronize the site.

They are feather dusters as I have them too ; and why are you opposed to Facebook ( antisocial?)

Not feather dusters.

They aren't any type of worm. They are not capable of free motion, and have no appendages. They look closest to "Yellow Sponges Taking Over Zoa!" at ReefCentral, which can be found at "Images of Pineapple Sponges." Mine are very ice-cream cone shaped though. They haven't increased in number since they appeared last month. There are about 15 1/2 to 1 1/2 inch ones on about 5 square inches of one rock.

As far as my avoidance of Facebook, I believe it violates basic human privacy rights and promotes harmful gossip, and while I joined when it first came out, I will never use it again.
