RO Water Compared to Distilled Water

Is there a difference between RO and Distilled water with regards to pH and water softness?

Occasionally I quickly need small amounts of water with low hardness (gH/dH =< 5) and low pH (5.0) for small 5 gallon Wild Betta tanks. I only need 1 or 2 gallons at the most and it doesn't pay for me to fire up my RO system for this small an amount, besides most of the time I need the water quickly.

I would like to keep 6 one gallon containers of distilled water on hand for these times, when I only need small amounts.
