Buffering Water
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to Buffer Water so that it remains a constant 6.5 PH? A number of Anabantids that I collect prefer water 6.0 to 6.5 PH to breed. Joe G suggests water changes, but my water is at 7.0 PH. In addition, many of the Wild Bettas, like B. Brownorum and B. Coccina do not like regular water changes. I have used Wardleys Bullseye 6.5, but it is expensive to use for a large number of tanks. I use Peat Pellets and Almond Leaves, but I was looking for an additional method other than RO water which is time consuming.

PH buffer
Seachem make a 6.5 buffer that work very well., I use the 7.5 buffer and it keeps the water at a steady 7.5
First dose the tank then mix it whenever you do water changes. |
