flame angels
How are flame angels for a reef tank?

They are hit or miss. I have one in my tank and he doesn't touch anything. I also have a cherub angel (also a dwarf) and they are not fighting either even though everyone said you can only keep one angel per tank.
Angels (even dwarfs) are known to nip on polyps so they are not perfect reef tank inhabitants. If you are buying from a fellow hobbyist who has had them in their reef tank for years they are somwhat a safer bet vs wild specimens that just arrived at your LFS.

LIke xoomer said hit or miss. I've heard some horror stories so I'd stay away from them.

There is a lower chance of getting one that is tame vs one that will nip at everything. I would personally not buy one. They are beautiful but I'd say they are only good for FO or FOWLR tanks.
