Oxygen Powder By Sera
Sera is now marketing oxygen powder that you can put in a bag of fish and they can breath for 5 days. It is a derivative of a human product, and they were just granted a license to market it. It isn't in the current catalogue, but you can call them to purchase it. The package will treat 1000 gallons of water and isn't very expenisve. I belive other size porions are or will be available very soon. This product may revolutionize fish shipping and importation.

Unlike previous products, this is licensed from the FDA, and is a powder not a tablet , so fish cannot eat it and explode.

Sounds like a good option to have. I wonder if this will cut into the breather bag market. For what little i ship, i use polybags. I shipped guppies once that took seven days, they were fine.

It's too soon to tell. It's not even going to be in Sera's catalgue until next year.

Could this be Hydrogen peroxide in powder form?

I'm honestly not sure. I was told by a Sera Rep that they adapted it from a human treatment and had to get a government license to market it.
