Default Instant Ocean Marine Chips

Instant Ocean Marine Chips, a new high protein food for small to medium sized fish is rapidly becoming one of my fishes favorites. Freshwater fish like it a lot as well. Right now I have Cichlids, African Cichlids, Barbs, Loaches, Bichirs, Catfish, Prochilodus and Distichodus all eating it greedily. We get samples from Instant Ocean at BAS meetings. You should try it if you haven't yet.

Default fish food

I use it to, it is good food for all
Don't get hung up on fresh or salt for food
the onlything u should look at is the protein or carb content
Some fish need more protein other need more vegtable matter.

Default What Not To Feed African Cichlids

You can't feed African Cichlids anything unless you want them to die of Bloat. No beef heart. The fat accumulation will kill them. All protein sources for Rift Lake Cichlids should be non-red meats, preferably fish or shrimp. Read Malawi Bloat-The Dreaded Cichlid Disease.

Default History of Tetra Werke Company

The Tetra Werke was originally the company that invented TetraMin food. It was then sold to Pfizer, who in 2002 sold it to the European holding company "Triton Fund." They in turn sold it to Spectrum in 2005, and things started to get fishy. Spectrum representatives appeared on Good Morning America in 2005 claiming it's 10 gallon marine kit could hold a Tang and 2 Ocellaris clowns, which sparked outrage from salt water Tang enthusiasts. Now they're giving us poison to treat fish diseases. Could be worse, though, Spectrum could get bought out by the Koch Brothers.

Default No its not...

United Pet Group is a front name for Spectrum Brands. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Tell them about Tang tank size requirements. I agree with you.

Default Rift Valley Cichlid Food

I feed my Frontosa Omega One with Garlic, and Cobalt Aquatics Pro Breeder Pellets. They're not cheap either, but Spectrum (different company than the Tetra parent company), while they make great foods is overpriced. It's like Grand Sumo Flowerhorn food. It's not much different than A1, but costs twice as much because of reputation.
