Talking Aqua clear filters

THESES FILTERS ARE GREAT THE ONLY PROBLEM. IS THE BASKET RISES AFTER A WEEK ; y and is there away to prevent this I was thinking of rubber banding them ?

usually when they rise it is because the pads are dirty
is it and old sponge, also make sure you have it assembled right.

I think there is only one way to assembly these filters . SO If I eliminate the sponge this should solve the problem , I was thinking mess bag with the macaroni s this way the water would flow right through and still build the bacterial field and. Not clog up ?😎👍😋
