Default Pollenate Your Fish Tank

Paratilapia polleni are now becoming available in the NYC area. Most people are not familiar with it as it comes from northern Madagascar. It is an Oscar-size, semi-aggressive cichlid suitable for large cichlid aquariums. It is an omnivore, but also a piscivore that uses stealth and cryptic coloration to sneak up on small fish and suck them down. The males are beautiful jet black with blue and gold pearls all over their body. They are very smart, easily tamed and respond to people. It is recommended that only 1 be kept in a community tank, as they dislike their conspecifics and after mating the males will often kill the females.
