Question Lake Malawi Cichlids / Aggressive

I'm starting a new 55 gallon African cichlid tank. I know to overstock
15 to 20 fish. Need to know what type are compatible and how many of each
Species. I have 2 HOB 40 gal, and Cascade 1000 canister. I'm really interested in Elec Yellow
Lab, Acei, Auratus, Mbunas.

Iv had all of the above in my 55 , usually 1of them get aggressive and picks on 1/2 fish. Give hiding places. I find just shutting off the lights calms them down 😎👍 GOOD LUCK. 🐠

Thanks for replying John. It's been a month since i've posted my question.
I'm currently stocked with yel labs, zeb ob's, and jalo reefs. Ob's and labs are smaller than
The Jalo's. How long for ob's get some color?

Is their a certain brand that makes best food for healthy, colorful, thriving, Cichlid?
I keep reading about the benefits of Spurlina flakes and pellets. Is the food not as beneficial if it doesn't contain Spurlina?
