Some starfish are reef safe, but I am not crazy about them in a reef.
I had a britle starfish in my reef it didn't bother any coral it just ate my fish at night.
I was missing fish one at a time, untill I finally saw him eating one.
They are very hard to catch, I had to set a trap with shrimp.
The linkia starfish are safe, but not very hardy.
Keep in mind most starfish should not be exposed to air, so keep them under water at all times.
Watch the store when they bag them.
