Default LIGHTING FOR CORALS...

How much lighting do I need to raise my corals . I have a 62 gallon corner tank it's not insanly deep but it definately not shallow its maybe 22inches deep. gonna start with soft corals but I am eyeballing the stoney corals.
Once my tank is mature enough for the stony corals I do not want to change my light fixture unless I have to! Please advise.

For stonies you'd be good to go with a single 250W metal halide over a corner tank. You can add some T5 sumplementation for actinics. There are no fixtures specific to corner tanks so you'll neeed some sort of a single bulb pendant and 2 24" HO T5 strips (2 Bulbs each). You'd want the T5s to be on for 10-12 hours while the MH light on for 6-8 hours tops

I would go for 10Ks with T5s in actinic and super actinic range.
