Default Library for donation & sale

Hello Folks:

My name is Russ Novak, and in ancient times, I was a Veep of BAS. I edited “Waterscape” for a coupe of years – published with a mimeograph and not a computer. Steve Selznick was president, Seymour Baker, the Bellers, Ingaborg Farrar, and many more were active in the clubs projects. We put on a BAS Show for at least two years. African Cichlids were still relatively new to the hobby.

I wish I was still hanging out with you guys because I often get impulses to try to fit some size tank into my apartment. But I have no space. The battle for space between high fidelity equipment and aquariums has finally and decisively been won by the stereo and attendant music collections.

So I have a small Aquarium Hobbyist Library to partially donate or give away and some historic bound volumes of FAMA I'd sell for cheap.

[hardcover]
EXOTIC TROPICAL FISHES, Axelrod, Vorderwinkler, (more), (binder & supplements)
EXOTIC MARINE FISHES, Axelrod, Emmons, (more), (binder & supplements)
AQUARIUM DIGEST INTERNATIONAL, 2 binders, digests 1-29
THE SALT WATER AQUARIUM IN THE HOME, Robert Straughan
MARINE AQUARIUM KEEPING, Stephen Spotte
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF LIVE FOODS, Charles Masters

[paperback]
AQUARIUM PLANTS, Gerhar Brunner
FISH_BREEDING RECIPES, Wolfgang Ostermoller
ANABANTOIDS, Robert Goldstein
SHARKS AND LOACHES, Braz Walker
BREEDING BEHAVIOR OF AQUARIUM FISHES, Wolfgang Wickler
SPAWNING PROBLEM FISHES, Vol 1&2, Willy Jocher

FOR SALE

FRESH WATER AND MARINE AQUARIUM MAGAZINE – complete beginning with Vol 1 No.1, 1978-1985, in official FAMA ring binders + first 4 mos. Of 1986 without binder.

Single issues on E-Bay are going between $8 - $12, making this a $512 - $768 value for the mags alone. $300 takes them away and gets me some shelf space.

Come and get 'em. First come, first serve. Bring boxes. Elevator building. Russ Novak, 220 Berkeley Place (between 7th and 8th Ave), Brooklyn, 718 789 0217.
