Cool LED Transition

I have taken my first step into the LED revolution and I am very pleased. Not only is the growth amazing but they use like no power. Gone from 25 watt fixture in my Nano planted to a 6 watt LED. Check it out. Thanks to my plant gurus at the BAS meeting this tank is simple and beautiful.

Anybody have pictures of Video of their planted tanks?

Default LED's to T-5's?

How would you compare the LED's for plant growth compared to using T-5 lights? I know the LED are less expensive to run but how are the results, using the same substrate, etc.

Any ideas?

Default LED Growth

The LED's run cooler and give off a much cleaner light for a longer period of time compared to the T-5's T-5's required more bulbs and frequent changes. No questioning the results. You have to make sure you have the correct color spectrum though, whites and range

I upgraded my 15 gallon planted tank from T5s to an LED fixture I purchased from Finnex and I am completely happy with the growth and the overall look of the plants. Overall its cheaper when you compare the two, but also the prices for LEDs are going down.

My Chi came with an LED array and the plants I had in it went crazy
The cover on my 20L goldfish tank has an LED array in it and the admittedly undemanding Anubias in there really like it
I have a retrofit kit for my BioCUBE 14 that I want to get installed but got it with a PWM driver to vary the photoperiod depending on the time of the year but unfortunately am no programmer and lost everything that had been done in that end when the MacBook died so the leds are still in a box collecting dust
