Blue Hippo Tang Behavior
These fish have a weird habit of lying on their sides on the bottom, sometimes for hours, after being transported or disturbed. Moderate salinity changes can kill them, so acclimation by drip method preferably in the dark is best. If they are healthy, they will be up off their sides by the second day and start to eat., using hiding most of the time until fully acclimated except while eating. Once acclimated, they are not fussy eaters, and are often tank bullies.
