smell
First if u have 2 filters on 1 tank you should never clean them at the same time.
By doing this, you have killed all ther good bacteria. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for bacteria to colonize. So clean1 and wait atleast 3-4 weeks to clean the other. This can make the tank start to cycle again. check and make sure you did not spill dirty water or fish waste anywhere. also see if a fish has jumped out on the floor. are you sure the smell is from the tank or around it. when cleaning the filter do not clean the biomech in clorine water, i use water change water. You want to rince it not sterilize it. |
