In my experience with breeding cichlids, I find that the Amphilophus Sp are a bit rougher when pairing up. I had never had a problem with any of my parachromis sp pairing. My Labiatus male has went through 4 females before finally excepting his mate. Also with my Chancho male. He has killed 2 females. I never had a problem with my Dovii,Managuense or Red Tiger Motaguense.
