Default The Best Commercial Cichlid Foods

These are the ones I actually use, in no particular order. Some fish like one better than another.

1. Cobalt Aquatics Pro Breeder Food. 45% protein and it floats then sinks. All my cichlids run to scarf this down.

2. Grand Sumo Flowerhorn and Cichlid Food. The most nutritious (48% protein, mostly from fish) for carnivores.

3. Tetra Cichlid and Jumbo Sticks (47% protein). The feeder fish look alikes that piscivorous cichlids seem to like best.

4. Chingmix (45% protein). Not just a Flowerhorn Food (there is really no such thing any how) but a favorite of most carnivorous cichlids.

5. Hikari Cichlid Gold - 45% protein. Many formulations with good color enhancers too.

6. tie: Omega One Marine Pellets with Garlic and Nutrafin Max Pellets - the two favorites of bottom feeding cichlids. Many Aquariums use Omega One Marine for their cichlids. Nutrafin is very high in growth foods like shrimp and krill.
