Talking Algae

I have Algae on the sand and on the glass it's sort of like a yellow mustard in appearence. 15 gallon tank live rock and sand , two clowns , 3 nerite snails 1 star polyp tank is running about 7 weeks .lighting is 7.5 hours a day ,the last time I checked nitrates they were low anything else I should know ?

yes reefs get dirty quick
ypou have to clean more often

Now that I'm reading about cycling reef tanks the algae was part of the cycling process not the high lighting
