Question Are BLUE Jack Dempseys sterile?

I've heard conflicting opinions, Does anyone out there have first hand experience breeding BLUE Jack Dempseys. Many people have told me that they're all sterile.

They where originally thought to be a hybrid fish, but are not they are just another strain of the original demsey, so they are not sterile. They do stay a little smaller, and are less aggressive then it's popular counterpart. they will how ever still eat small fish.
