2 to 3 hours is fine just keep it wet. Wrap it in wet news paper, and it will be fine.
I usually bring a bucket I can put some water in, and wrap it. Remember to smell the rock before buying it, it should smell like sea water not foul. If it smells foul or rotten it is not fully cured, do not put that in your tank. It would then have to be cured. |
