That piston pump I said they don't make I bought when I set up my tank 4 or 5 years ago
It doesn't sound anything like the piston pumps of the days of yore
This is just a hum like a vibrator pump
If I hadn't seen it pictured in the F&S catalog I would still think I had a vibrator pump
It is the Coralife Super Luft pump
It is fairly large and heavy and puts out a lot of heat as well as a lot of air
It has been running constantly since I got it and has never given me any trouble
You probably don't want it in your livingroom but I sleep 5' from it
But then I live in a bell so it acts as white noise to lessen the intrusiveness of the never ending ringing
